UDHAMPUR, Mar 6:A middle aged man was crushed to death by train at Channi Morh Dhar Road Udhampur Railway track, this morning.
The deceased was identified as Jatinder Sharma (58), son of Prem Nath of village Dhanodi, Tehsil and district Udhampur.
According to the reports, Uttar Sampark Kranti Train was on its way from Delhi to Katra when it run over the victim at Channi Morh, near bridge at 49.01 kms this morning around 8.30 a.m. Since the death of the deceased person had occurred under the suspicious circumstance, an inquest proceedings U/S 174/Cr PC was initiated at P/S GRP Udhampur. SHO P/S GRP Udhampur, Inspector Rajesh Chander swung into action and rushed to the spot. He took the dead body into possession for identification/Post-mortem. Strenuous efforts were made by GRP Police Udhampur under the supervision of SSP Railways Katra, Ranjit Singh Sambyal after which identity of the deceased was established.
After completion of legal formalities, dead body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
