Panaji, Mar 9 (UNI) CII Goa has signed an MoU with the Info Tech Corporation of Goa Limited (ITG) to create a platform for start-ups to periodically pitch to CII members and potential investors to help in this process.
According to a statement here, the objective is to create a mentor network drawn from CII member companies, and create a structured program wherein start-ups can benefit from mentorship.
Under the MoU, Info Tech Corporation of Goa Limited (ITG) will invite start-ups to solve specific challenges and connect them with resources. CII will also get member companies to back these challenges with resources and ITG will endeavour to give a matching grant to the shortlisted start-up to solve these specific challenges. Both the CII and ITG are desirous of promoting mutual cooperation in areas of development of Information technology and investors for Start-Ups.
Under the Non-financial MoU, both the parties would mobilize or arrange to create upskilling of Goan resources by conducting relevant training programs. Internship opportunities with member companies will be initiated by CII Goa and the ITG will support interns financially with a stipend subject to the internship completion certified by the Corporate HR head. CII will help to launch Incubation centre in corporates with the help of Government grant.
Those present at the signing of the MoU were Goa Minister for IT Rohan Khaunte, Lalit Saraswat, Chairman, CII Goa Council, Ms Swati Salgaocar, Elected Member, CII Goa State Council and Chief Executive ? Operations, V M Salgaocar and Bro P Ltd, and Pravin Volvotkar, Managing Director, Info Tech Corporation of Goa Limited (ITG).
