Bootlegger, bovines smuggler arrested

RAMBAN, Mar 9: A bootlegger and bovines’ smuggler have been arrested here today.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramban Police Station laid a naka near T Chowk and apprehended a man along with 14 bottles of illicit liquor.
The arrested person has been identified as Sandeep Singh, son of Dharam Singh of Pogal Paristan, Ukhral, District Ramban.
Meanwhile, a team from Ramban Police Station foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 4 cattle and arresting one person.
The arrested person has been identified as Shanawaz, son of Ghulam Mohammad of Panthyal, District Ramban. He was smuggling the bovines in Tata Mobile, which has been seized by the police.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Ramban Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
