Schools reopen in Kashmir after vacations

SRINAGAR, Mar 11: The educational institutes today reopened after three-month-long winter vacations. The schools were scheduled to reopen on March 2, but the authorities extended the vacation in view of weather conditions. Click here to watch video
The students were seen joyous and keen to join their classes after the winter vacation. The students were eager to meet with their friends after three months of break.
The students wearing new uniforms were seen waiting for their school vehicles on the roads here.
Government had closed all schools up to 8th standard from December 6 last year while the High and Higher Secondary Schools were closed from December 17, 2018.
The reopening of schools upto secondary level also led to traffic jam in Srinagar this morning.
