UDHAMPUR, Mar 11: A Municipality team led by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Santosh Kotwal today launched an anti-encroachment drive under the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla.
The drive was launched at the area near DC office to Raj Theatre at Dhar Road to deal with traffic congestion in the town.
The anti-encroachment team removed illegal encroachments on both sides of the road.
The CEO Santosh Kotwal assured that the anti-encroachment drive will continue with till all the encroachments are removed in the district.
He appealed the general public to get their illegal encroachments removed immediately and in case of any failure in this regard, strict action will be taken against the defaulters.
Among others police and officials of Municipal Council and Revenue Department were present during the drive.
