Mahila Kavya Manch honours families of martyrs

JAMMU, Mar 12: Mahila Kavya Manch organized a programme- Ek Sham Shaheedon Ke Naam- to honour families of martyrs.
Dy SP, Anita Pawar was chief guest during the programme. On the occasion, a poem recitation programme was also organised in which various poetesses presented their poems highlighting the supreme sacrifices of martyrs. They also paid tributes to the martyrs.
Families of martyrs Naseer (CRPF), Aurangzeb (Army), Gulbadan Singh Bhau (JKP), Parveen Kumar (JKP) and Neeraj Singh Charak (JKP) were honoured on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, DySP Anita Pawar appreciated Mahila Kavya Manch for organizing such a programme for remembering the sacrifices of martyrs for the motherland.
She said that such efforts are not only a tribute to the martyrs but also an initiative for promotion of Dogri language and literature.
Vice president, Mahila Kavya Manch, Samvedna Sharma threw light on the objective to organize such a programme. She said that it was the endeavour of the Manch to promote young talented female writers in field of literature.
Samvedna Sharma also stressed that main purpose of this program was to showcase the quality of the poetry.
She extended an open invitation that female youngsters, who wish to showcase their talent, may contact the Manch.
She is also remembered the supreme sacrifices of martyrs and recited her Dogri poems.
