SAMBA, Mar 14: A 65 year old woman died due to burn injuries in a mysterious fire that broke out in her room at Village Khanwal in district Samba late last night.
The deceased has been identified as Gharo Devi, 65, wife of Puran Chand resident of border village Khanwal in district Samba. Police said the incident took place late last night. Her family members heard her screams and they came out from their rooms and saw the smoke was coming out from her room. She had received critical burn injuries and was immediately brought to District Hospital Samba where doctors referred her to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for specialized treatment. She later succumbed to burn injuries in GMC.
In this regard Police has taken cognizance the matter and started investigation.
