KISHTWAR, Mar 16: The remote Gulabgarh- Paddar Sub Division of district Kishtwar is without power supply for the last about one and half months.
A delegation of people of the area who had met KK Sharma, Advisor to Governor on March 1, 2019 in Jammu, was assured by the senior PDD officials present there on the spot to restore power supply within one week as 33 KV line from Kishtwar to Paddar was damaged but even after the passage of two weeks, the power supply could not be restored. The people of the area are badly affected with the suspension of power supply after heavy snowfall about one and half months back.
Pahari Development Forum, Paddar chairman, Kartar Singh Rathore urged upon the State Governor to personally intervene into the matter as for the first time in the history, power supply has remained snapped for over 45 days in entire Sub Division affecting over 25,000 population, raising question mark on the functioning of Administration under him.
