KATHUA Mar 18: In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers, SI Rahul incharge Police Post, Chadwal foiled bovine smuggling bid and rescued six bovine animals.
Police team in the wee hours during checking at NHW Chadwal seized two load career vehicles, one Mahindra Bolero bearing Registration No JK14E-7128 and JK08F-2397 illegally carrying bovine animals. In this process police saved six bovine animals, arrested both the bovine smugglers namely Ashok Kumar S/o Mukhtyar Chand R/o Marheen Chadwal Kathua and Ashok Kumar S/o Ram Saran R/o Thil Udhampur and seized both the vehicles.
Police registered a case under relevant sections of law. Further investigation into the case is going on.
