Sir,
Refer news item ‘JU Law School organizes workshop on ‘Communication skills’ and ‘Personality Development’ DE March 16, 2019.
The Law School deserves appreciation for conducting the workshop on ‘Communication Skills’ and ‘Personality Development.’ These days these two aspects help job aspirants tremendously to secure jobs in Government, Semi-Government and private sectors. These two features are bonus points in one’s curriculum vitae. But one is constrained to say that there is no much emphasis on developing these aspects in Government or private schools in Jammu and Kashmir. There is even no provision for career counselling in these schools. With the result, the students coming out of these institution fail to grab a decent job in the market. Therefore, it becomes quite necessary that educational institutions in the State introduce these courses in curriculum for the sake of student community. The Law School, Jammu has taken the initiative let others follow the steps with sincerity.

Sir,
It is quite commendable that the JU Law School, in collaboration with English Nest conducted a workshop on ‘Communication Skills’ and ‘Personality Development’. The workshop may have surely encouraged and motivated students to work on the perfection of their skills and Corporate demeanor. However, it may be said that there is need to organise such workshops on regular basis to make an everlasting impact on the psyche of the students. One or two workshops in year and in one institution may not yield desired dividend. These workshops should be organised in almost all educational institutions whether Government or Private. It may be said here that Communication Skills are essential for the successful future career of a student. In today’s competitive world, communication skills in business are the most sought after quality of an educated person. Hope organisers may take notice of the suggestion.
