SRINAGAR: General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Northern Command, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh on Tuesday visited forward posts in Siachen and reviewed the operational preparedness of soldiers in the sector.
Defence Ministry spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia said that Lt Gen Singh, who was accompanied by Lt Gen YK Joshi, General Officer Commanding, Fire & Fury Corps, visited forward posts in Siachen Glacier.
He said the Army commander reviewed operational preparedness being maintained in the sector.
Lt Gen Ranbir Singh interacted with troops deployed at the forwards posts and complimented them for their high morale. (AGENCIES)
