JAIPUR, Feb 15:
CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat today slammed both ruling Congress and rival BJP as equally corrupt and held them responsible for major scams including Helicopter purchase, Coalgate and 2G spectrum scam.
Addressing the party state unit Parivartan rally here this afternoon, the CPI(M) chief said that many scams have come to forth recently under the present Congress-led UPA regime.
However, the BJP is also no less corrupt, their previous government is also equally responsible for corruption and scams that includes 2G spectrum, Coalgate and now the Helicopter purchase deal.
He said that process of all these matters stretches to the previous NDA regime too.
In states too, their former Chief Minister of Karnataka and many other functionaries have been labeled as tainted.
Contrary to this the Leftist parties track record is fine and clean, he said adding “We ruled in West Bengal for three decades, do attain power in Kerala almost every fifth year and ruling Tripura for two decades but we are clean”. (UNI)
