RAJOURI, Mar 23: The police has booked 52 persons for not depositing their licensed weapons in local police stations even after order issued by District Magistrate Rajouri and subsequent notices served by local police stations.
An order in this regard was issued by District Magistrate Rajouri on March Ist, 2019 and all the licensed weapon holders were asked to deposit their weapons in local police stations in view of forth coming Parliamentary polls.
Although majority of licensed weapon holders got deposited their weapons in Police Stations but some people paid no attention to the order even after police served them reminder through notices.
Taking strong note it, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered against the violators in police stations across Rajouri district. A case has been registered at different Police Stations against violators.
