JAMMU, Mar 24: President, Teachers Welfare Association (TWA) and senior Trade Union leader, Jasmeet Singh Madaan has urged the Chief Secretary, B V R Subramaniam, to fulfill his promise made before Panchayat elections at an earliest by providing one month additional salary to the employees who had performed poll duty then.
Madaan also urged Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, Shailendra Kumar to release the grants for the same as the account numbers and duty certificate are already dispatched in January to the respective Deputy Commissioners.
“Already the staff of some offices has withdrawn the salary but the general employees, particularly from the Education Department are still languishing for the same,” he said and appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to intervene personally and provide justice to the employees by providing them their due share.
