JAMMU, Feb 15: Government today reconstituted the State Mission Authority for Empowering Women-Socially, Economically and Educationally.
According to the order issued by the General Administration Department, Chief Minister is the Chairman of the Committee while as Deputy Chief Minister (Minister Incharge School Education), Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology, Minister for Medical Education, Sports and Youth Services, Minister for Agriculture Production, Minister for Higher Education, Minister for CAPD, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, MoS Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, MoS Health, MoS Industries and Commerce, Chairperson, State Commission for Women, Suriya Abdullah, Patron Maddri-Meherban Welfare Trust, Feroz Ahmad, IAS retired and Prof Veena Gupta are its members.
Minister for Social Welfare, ARI and Trainings and Public Grievances is the Member Convener of the Committee.
However, the objectives and functions of the State Mission Authority will remain same as indicated earlier.
