JAMMU, Mar 26: Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha has expressed its dismay over the role of political parties which did not field any migrant candidate from three Lok Sabha constituencies of the Kashmir Valley.
In a statement issued here, chairman of the organization, Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan said that the migrants worked shoulder to shoulder with political parties in strengthening the democratic set up in the State despite the challenges from anti national forces. He said risking their lives the migrants participated in Local Bodies and Panchayat elections in the State despite the boycott call given by separatists and other main stream parties of Kashmir.
This step was taken by them for the betterment of the State and many members of majority community also supported their gesture. He said how the political parties can ensure their empowerment when they did not field even a single migrant candidate from the Valley.
Mahajan, however appealed the members of the displaced community to fill up the M Forms enmass and ensure their participation in the elections.
