SAMBA, Mar 28: Lions Club Samba organized a free eye operation camp at Dina Nath Memorial Hall near New Bus Stand area here, today.
The camp was organized by Lions Club Samba with the co-operation of District Health Society, Samba under the chairmanship of Rakesh Singh.
The camp was inaugurated by S. K. Punj, Governor Lions Club 321-D in the presence of CMO Samba. During the camp 210 patients were examined by a team of doctors and paramedical staff headed by Doctor Kul Rattan Anand, Dr. Rajni and Dr Pramila Kumari in which 20 patients were identified for operation at district hospital Samba which will be performed on March 29. Post operation, care and check up will be done with the necessary diet, medicine and medical care by the Lions Club Samba.
Medical Superintendent of district hospital Samba, Dr. Indira Bhatyal assured the full co-operation to the Club in future. The Governor while addressing the gathering congratulated Lions Club Samba on conducting welfare activities.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by past district governor, Sudeep Garg, zonal chairman, Amardeep Singh, Capt (retd) Inder Singh, secretary, Mandeep Singh, vice secretary, Advocate Vijay Gupta, treasurer, Pawan Kumar, PRO, Rajnish Pargal, Kamlapati Mishra, Sita Ram Sapolia, Amit Gupta, Naresh Chandel, Sushil Shatti, Surinder Amba, Rohit Pargal, Vikas Sharma, Vias Guptal and other prominent citizens of Samba graced the occasion.
President of the Club, Rakesh Singh with his team rendered full service in the Camp. While addressing the gathering he requested the concerned authorities to provide adequate staff for proper functioning of the district hospital Samba.
