SAMBA, Mar 30: A colourful attestation-cum-passing out parade of 47 trainees of 4th Batch of “39 Weeks Police Wireless Training Course” was held at Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur.
Danesh Rana, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Armed/IRP Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
Ashok Kumar, SSP (Principal PTTI Vijaypur) presented the welcome address and gave a detailed briefing about training imparted to the trainees for their allround development keeping in view the professional needs of Police Organization.
IGP Danesh Rana inspected the parade and took salute of the march-past and presented mementoes and trophies to the trainees who exhibited excellence in various activities.
R/Ct Opr Altaf Ahmed Rather, who was declared all round best was awarded a DGP Commendation Certificate Class-1 with cash reward of Rs 5000 and memento from PTTI Vijaypur, whereas, R/Ct Opr Muzafer Maqbool Dar, who was declared 2nd all round best was awarded with DGP’s Commendation Certificate Class-1 with cash reward of Rs 3000 and memento from PTTI Vijaypur.
IGP also gave mementos to Parade Commander R/Ct Mohammad Afzal Shah and 2nd-in-Command R/Ct Asif Ahmed Dar for exhibiting excellent performance while leading the parade.
During his address, Danesh Rana advised the newly passed out trainees to perform their duties with sincerity and dedication.
A galaxy of senior officers from Police and Civil Administration including Anand Jain, IGP (Hqrs) PHQ, J&K, Dr Koushal Kumar, SSP Samba, Sameer Rekhi, AIG (Policy/Training) PHQ J&K, Shailender Kumar, AIG (Buildings) PHQ J&K, Anil Katoch, Principal STC Talwara, RK Dhar SSP Telecommunication Jammu, Roop Raj, SSP, Mohan Lal, SSP, Daleep Kumar SSP, Arun Gupta, Principal PTS Kathua, Randeer Singh, Commandant IRP 19th Battalion, Tajinder Singh, Vice Principal PTS Kathua and various retired police officers, prominent citizens, guests, school children and parents of the trainees were present on the occasion.
