POONCH, Mar 31: A villager was injured in an attack by a leopard at village Dalian in district Poonch today.
A police spokesman said that the incident took place when one Mohd Akbar, son of Mohd Human, resident of village Dallian in Poonch was going to the nearby fields at the village. Suddenly, a full grown leopard attacked him causing serious injuries. He grappled with the wild beast to protect him but received multiple injuries on his person.
He was later shifted to District Hospital, Poonch by the family members . The Wild Life Department has taken cognizance of the matter.
