JAMMU, Mar 31: The J&K Graduate Promotee Agriculture Officer’s Association (JKGPAOA), under the chairmanship of its president Ragbir Antahal, organized a meeting in which all members stressed for filling of promotees’ share and finalization of seniority of Class-VII as per their quota laid in the rules on overall cadre strength.
It was emphasized that delaying promotion to the Promotees by not conducting DPC for last more than three decades was violations of rule position, which led to faulty temporary promotion and multi post charge assignment to one officer on pick and choose basis.
The members urged the Government to defer any type of promotion to Direct Recruits till remaining share of promotes is filled and seniority of Class-VII finalized by adopting “One Time Settlement” of the issue.
It was also stressed that the request to revoke impugned temporary promotion orders as mentioned in JKGPAOA’s representation dated: 16-08-2018 already desired to be considered by the Court, is still pending and needs immediate attention of the Government.
Those who spoke in the meeting, included Ragbir Chand, Prem Singh, Jatinder Singh, Des Raj, Ayaz Reshi, Sudhir Manhas, P S Mastana, A K Dhar, Vikram Katyal and district presidents.
