Prof Anil elected vice-president of Indian Society of Weed Science

JAMMU, Mar 31: Dr Anil Kumar, FISWS & Professor Agronomy, SKUAST-Jammu, has been elected vice-president of Indian Society of Weed Science (ISWS), the result of which was declared yesterday.
Dr Anil, who defeated his nearest rival Dr T K Das with a margin of over 50 votes, has been a two time vice president of a prestigious society like Indian Society of Dryland Agriculture, CRIDA from 2010-11 & 11-12. Author of over dozen books on different aspects of Agriculture, Dr Kumar is closely associated with Research in Queensland University Australia and Kansas University USA.
Widely travelled, he works in close proximity with Dr Ahmet from Turkey, Dr Chandrasena from Sri Lanka. Member of DIFD-UK, he is in Core Advisory Committee of various National & International journals like WSSA & Weed Technology, US. Contributions by Dr Kumar in Asia-Pacific Weed Science Society are widely acclaimed.
