JAMMU, Mar 31: Continuing with the `whirl-wind’ tour of different areas in connection with election campaign, MLC Girdhari Lal Raina (Ajay Bharti) today visited Bharat Nagar, Tirath Nagar and adjacent areas of Talab Tilloo and addressed several election meetings.
Raina asked people to vote in large numbers and re-elect popular leader Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a record number of seats to further strengthen his resolution to make India a powerful, strong and economically developed country. He asked the displaced community of Kashmir to fill M-Forms in large numbers and ensure no one is missed.
Agreeing that the process for the displaced community continues to tedious, yet we need to ensure heavy participation to strengthen hands of PM Modi, defeat the ill-intentioned designs of forces that want minority KP community to remain permanently in exile.
BJP leader cautioned the community against nefarious desins of NC and PDP. He recalled how it was NC- Congress Coalition Government that disrespected the community martyrs by falsely claiming that only 209 KPs were murdered by terrorists in Kashmir. It was the same Coalition Government that created every possible impediment in implementing employment package for the displaced community. NC- Congress government refused to shoulder its responsibility of providing 3000 jobs envisaged under package.
He said PDP & NC both opposed construction of transit accommodation for the employees recruited under Employment package. On the other hand BJP Government ensured that the community is back as an important factor in J&K state.
The BJP Govt provided Rs 500 crore as special support for displaced community. In December 2015 it decided to bear the cost of additional 3000 posts under PMs Employment package which was otherwise shelved by State Government. It is because of BJP that we have 2 MLCs from the community first time in the history of State Legislature.
