JAMMU, Apr 1: District Police Samba has detained a bovine smuggler for his notorious activities in bovine smuggling on the detention orders issued by the District Magistrate Samba.
The accused namely Mureed Ahmed S/o Shah Mohd. is a resident of Manohar Gopala, Samba and stands booked in a number of criminal/ bovine cases registered in Police Stations Samba and Ghagwal. He has become a threat to the peaceful atmosphere forcing authorities to detain him under Public Safety Act, Samba Police said.
The detention order issued by DM Samba on the submission of dossier by SSP Samba was executed today by a Police team headed by SHO P/S Ghagwal. He has been lodged in Sub Jail Hiranagar.
