JAMMU, Apr 2: A man has been booked for not depositing his licensed weapon in Gangyal Police Station even after order issued by District Magistrate Jammu and subsequent notices served to him.
An order in this regard was issued by District Magistrate Jammu and all the licensed weapon holders were asked to deposit their weapons in local police stations in view of forth coming Parliamentary polls.
Although majority of licensed weapon holders got deposited their weapons in Police Stations but one persons paid no attention to the order even after police served them reminder through notices.
Taking strong note it, Gangyal Police booked a person identified as Bishan Singh, son of Lal Singh of Kothay.
A case under FIR Numbers 28/19 under section 188 RPC r/w 30 Arms Act has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation started.
