JAMMU, Apr 3: Civil Secretariat Non-Gazetted Employee Union (CSNGEU) here today staged a protest demonstration demanding that the Government should use all its legal remedies to vacate the stay to conduct election of the Union in time.
The protesters gathered in Civil Secretariat lawns and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
The protest was led by Rouf Ahmed Bhat, former president of the Union where a resolution was also passed in favour of the demand of the protesters.
The protesters claimed that their Union has a glorious history of around 60 years during which it served as hope for the employees while today it is fighting a battle for its own survival.
“A bunch of Civil Secretariat employees supported by a lobby of bureaucrats and lower rank Gazetted Officers are hell bent to end this institution on the directions of some forces working behind the scene,” the protesters alleged adding that office bearers of previous elected Union are also hand in glow with the forces inimical to CSNGEU.
