Refer news item ‘Workshop on Dogra wall paintings begins at GDC Udhampur’ DE Feb 15.
The workshop on wall paintings will expose the students to the cultural legacy of the Jammu region. This vibrant legacy is a result of painstaking efforts made by our ancestors during the last so many centuries.
Though they did their job, it is our duty to preserve it in its original form. In case any carelessness is observed, it will be a great loss which cannot be compensated in any way.
Besides, it will inspire our budding artists to this job seriously and with dedication. It will also them an opportunity to study this heritage and make improvisation if any, possible.
It is suggested that such workshops be conducted in almost all Degree Colleges of the Jammu province.
