JAMMU, Apr 5: The 642nd birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj was celebrated by Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Khour, Akhnoor Sector and Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Jaswan, Marh Sector today under the aegis of Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj.
While delivering spiritual sermons during both the functions, Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj said that Amritvani of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj touches every aspect of life, teaches universal brotherhood, fraternity and equality of all nature. Swami Gurdip Guri Ji Maharaj stressed on the importance of education as mentioned in the Amritvani of Satguru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj such as “Madho Avidya Hit Keen, Vivek Deep Maleen”.
Swami Gurdip Giri Ji Maharaj has started establishment of “Begumpura Renaissance University” at Pathankot for the poor down-trodden.
Sham Lal Basson, Corporator and President All J&K Dalit Chetna Manch said that they should follow the path shown by Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj. He said that down-trodden people are still facing discrimination at all levels. Sham Basson also appealed to general masses to join Dr BR Ambedkar Jyanti Mela to be orgnised by Dr BR Ambedkar Jyanti Celebration Committee on April 14, 2019 at Dr BR Ambedkar Chowk Rail Head, Jammu.
Vijay Lochan, Co-Chairman SC Cell National Conference Jammu Province and Ex-President All J&K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha said that Centre Government as well as State administration are hell bent to snatch the rights of SC, ST, OBC and Minority communities. Reservation in promotion has not been implemented in J&K State even after the issuance of Presidential ordinance, he added.
