JAMMU, Apr 5: Former MLA from Jammu East constituency Rajesh Gupta undertook door to door campaigning in BC Road, Chand Nagar, Rani Mandir and Jewel areas along with his team of activists.
The party activists were seen raising slogans in favour of the party candidate from Jammu-Poonch constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma. Slogans were also raised in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Bhai and Bharatiya Janata Party.
The party activists highlighted the achievements of the Modi Government and sought votes from the people of Jammu East constituency in favour of the BJP candidate Jugal Kishore Sharma.
Rajesh Gupta said that the recent handling of the Balakot bombing was liked by the people and they now feel that they have a powerful and decisive leader, who can give a befitting reply to its adversaries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has improved the profile of the country abroad and it is a matter of great pride for the nation.
Gupta while taking a dig at the election manifesto of the Congress said that it seems to have been drafted in consultation with the separatists and the Hurriyat Conference as all the points in the manifesto of the Congress tend to weaken the security grid of India.
“Congress manifesto says that they would reduce the footprint of the Indian security forces in Kashmir, which means a free run to the stone pelters and other anarchists”, he said, adding that the people of Jammu reposed complete faith in the policies of BJP at the time of the UBL elections and the same trend is going to continue in the Parliamentary elections and also in the Assembly elections subsequently.
