JAMMU, Apr 5: Athrot Charitable Trust organised Navreh Milan – a devotional musical event and released a documentary ‘Navreh Te Zangrtai’ by Kanwal Peshin. The documentary was narrated by Santosh Shah Nadaan with contributions from P N Shad and Upender Ambardar. The documentary was released by Kiran Wattal, Swami Kumar Ji, & Dr Arvinder Aman followed by a detailed description of all the ingredients constituting the sacred Navreh Thaal by Upender Ambardar.
The documentary highlighted the role and importance of rituals connected with the first auspicious day (Navreh) of Hindu Calendar especially Navreh Thaal.
A Bhajan Aradhana by small children Suhas Koul, Lavanaya Koul, Riya Raina, Nirmit Raina, Anjali Pandita, Himanshu Pandita who mesmerized audiences and left them spell bound. It was concluded by Adyatmik Jagriti Mission Satsang Group headed by Basant Jee.
Dr Arvinder Aman, Additional Secretary of J&KACL drew similarities between the ritualistic essence of Kashmiri Hindus and the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji while applauding the community in keeping the baton of cultural moorings aloft even during testing times of displacement.
Kiran Wattal, while speaking on the occasion highlighted the importance of keeping the exile consciousness alive and promoting the young children of the community.
The programme began with welcome address by Kanwal Peshin and Arvin Tickoo.
The children were awarded with traditional Brass Cup (Kenze Khoss) for their mesmerizing performance. The music of entire event was managed by noted musician-singer Ravi Bhan who also presented the vote of thanks.
