Teacher killed in road mishap, laborer due to electric shock

KATHUA, Apr 5: A female Government teacher was killed in a road accident on Kerrian road this evening. She was identified as Tripta Sharma, 40, W/o Rajinder Sharma resident of Gadigarh, Jammu. According to police she was on the way from Kathua to Kerrian Gandyal on a scooty this evening. She was hit by unknown vehicle from rear and fell down on the road. The passers by informed the police and she was shifted to District Hospital Kathua in critical condition. But she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. She was posted at Kerrian Gandyal School and her relatives were also at village Kerrian Gandyal. The police started investigation into the matter. Police has also registered a case under relevant Sections of the law.
In another incident a laborer was killed due to electric shock at Tara Nagar Kathua. He was identified as Subash Yadav resident of Chhattisgarh. As per report he was working as labourer at Tara Nagar and came in contact of live electric wire. He fell unconscious and was immediately shifted to district Hospital Kathua. The doctors started treatment but he died of the shock. The police also registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation into the matter.
