DLSA flags off trainees under Himayat scheme

JAMMU, Apr 5: Secretary District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Udhampur, Sub Judge, Sandeep Kour today flagged off the first batch of trainees for skill training and assured employment under Himayat Scheme from today.
The first batch comprising 50 youths from different Panchayats of district Udhampur will be imparted training by Satyam Learning Campus Education Society, Bangalore.
A handout stated that these youths will later be considered for placement in different companies.
The Government will bear all the financial expenses of the training including lodging, boarding, transport and the fees.
Before flagging off both the groups, DLSA Secretary interacted with the students and urged them to work hard during their training period so that the companies hire them for the jobs.
She said a skilled youth can never be unemployed because there is a huge demand of skilled youth in the corporate market in different sectors.
It is pertinent to mention here that DLSA Udhampur in collaboration with Himayat had organized a one-day placement linked awareness and counselling camp at Government Degree College, Udhampur to provide a platform to the job seekers and create awareness for them about various Government-sponsored schemes few days back in which these youth were registered for training and placement.
