UDHAMPUR, Feb 17: BJP Udhampur Mandal held a meeting here today under the presidentship of Raj Kumar Bucha, Mandal president of the Party which discussed various problems related to people in the town.
The issues discussed included collapse of sanitation system due to the Safai Karamcharis strike, encroachment in Udhampur town, disturbed traffic system in the main bazaars of the town, lack of proper parking for vehicles in market areas and developmental works executed by R&B and Municipal Council Udhampur.
Addressing the meeting Mr Bucha said that holding of elections to Local Bodies is the only solution to the problems. He said despite the announcement by Chief Minister and others in Government to hold early elections to Local Bodies, the Municipal elections were not held in the State till date.
He said soon the BJP will hold ward level meetings in Udhampur to constitute ward committees and effective and candidates who have chances of winning will be given mandate in the forthcoming elections.
