JAMMU, Apr 6: A woman succumbed to her burn injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), here today.
According to a police official, Juna Devi, 62, wife of Vir Bahadur, resident of Nepal (at present residing in Udeywala, Jammu) was shifted to GMCH Jammu with about about 80 % burn injuries on April 1 after she came in contact with a live high tension wire which was passing over her residential building.
The official said the woman succumbed to her injuries this morning at about 6.55. “After postmortem, the body was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites while Pounichak police had taken cognizance of the matter,” he added.
