JAMMU, Apr 7: Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta attacked the Opposition for questioning the air strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan. While speaking at a gathering in Nanak Nagar constituency, he said “the air strikes were launched on Pakistan but the shock and the pain was felt in India on the faces of Opposition leaders. Their attack on PM Modi over the issue have become headlines in Pakistani news papers,” Gupta said.
Kavinder Gupta along with the other functionaries intensified the campaign in favour of Jugal Kishore Sharma addressed multiple gatherings in Nanak Nagar, Old Satwari, Valmiki Colony, Channi, Bahu and Digiana today.
He said that by asking for proof of the strikes, a body-count of terrorists and painting Pakistan as apostle of peace, the Opposition leaders have become poster-boys in Pakistan and were weakening the fight against terror as well as lowering the morale of the armed forces.
“They want to strike Modi while Modi is striking on terror, he said. IAF gave a solid reply to terrorists by entering their homes — a message was also given to their harbourers that there is no option for them but to mend their ways and if they don’t, what will be done has also been told to them,” Gupta added. He said New India led by Prime Minister, Modi will not bend before terror and will avenge itself thoroughly, and if necessary, will even enter the homes of its enemies. Gupta even castigated the earlier Governments for lack of the political will to carry out strikes within Pakistan in the aftermath of Ahmedabad blasts and 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
In Jammu and Kashmir State also a ‘Gathbandhan’ of NC, PDP and Congress has been made to hurt the sentiments of people of Jammu region. The recent pro Pakistan and pro separatists’ statements have been made by almost all the leaders of this ‘Gathbandhan’ and people have made up their mind to teach them a lesson. Gupta said the opposition is issueless in these elections as our elected MPs from Jammu and Kashmir have done justice to the mandate received from the public. “We have managed to get multiple mega projects in the field of education, power, infrastructure, healthcare and tourism for the State,. Many people have been benefitted by the Centrally sponsored schemes and people love Modi for the same’’.
He said as a partner in Government in Jammu and Kashmir “we had been successful in developing our respective constituencies and people are happy with the performance of all the former MLAs’’. He said people have proven this by electing majority of representatives in the Urban local bodies and Panchayat across the State. He appealed to the gathering to give another chance to Jugal Kishore Sharma from Jammu Poonch LS constituency to strengthen the hands of Modi for safe, secure and developed India.
Others who accompanied and addressed the gathering include Baldev Billawria, Vinay Gupta, Ankush Gupta, Harbans Choudhary, Jugal Dogra, Veenu Khanna, Sharda Kumari, Rahul Kumar, Paramjeet Singh, Rekha Mahajan and Nayan Gupta.
