SRINAGAR: Suspected militants on Monday made an abortive bid to blow up a CRPF bunker in the outskirts of Srinagar city, official sources said.
They said a grenade was lobbed towards a roadside CRPF bunker at Gulshan Nagar, Bypass Nowgam today. However, the grenade did not exploded, they said adding the area was immediately sealed and those present in the area were taken to safe distance.
Later the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was summoned rushed to the spot and the grenade was defused without causing any damage.
