JAMMU, Apr 8: Senior NPP leader and party candidate from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency Prof Bhim Singh, sought explanation from former successive MPs and Legislators of Congress, NC and BJP as to what they have done for the upliftment of poor, neglected farmers and other weaker sections of the society from all communities in 20 Assembly Constituencies right from 1951 to this date.
During election campaign of these 20 constituencies of Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch, spread to far-flung border and hilly segments, Panthers leaders found pathetic condition of Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Gujjar-Bakerwals, Gaddis, Scheduled Caste communities, still craving for basic infrastructure of life to live and progress.
The NPP leaders reiterated their demand to provide alternate dwelling accommodation to farmers and others living along border line, when there is ceasefire violation from Pakistan rangers. Bhim Singh expressed deep anguish over the irresponsible behaviour of Union Home Ministry for not sticking to its own commitment of allotting 5 marlas of land to the border dwellers for which announcements were repeatedly made by BJP leaders, just for political appeasement of public at large to gain power.
Lok Sabha candidate, Bhim Singh accompanied by senior team of Panthers Party addressed workers/public meetings right up to Indo-Pak border villages from Marh, Domana, Nagrota, Pargwal, Camp Gole Gujral etc. and appealed for vote in favour of the Panthers candidate. They assured the common masses that Panthers Party is committed to seek justice and development to every house-hold in the region for initiating economic development projects, to provide employment to skilled, un-skilled, educated and semi-educated youth, engineers, doctors and farm experts.
He appealed to the voters of Jammu to support NPP for removal of discrimination and over all development of Jammu region.
Others who also addressed the gathering included Anita Thakur, Sushil Khana, Shanker Singh, Surinder Chouhan, Rajiv Mahajan, Nirmal Kishore and Ram Pal.
