Minor among two dead, three injured in road accident near Doda

Bhadarwah April 09 :  A minor girl and an elderly man were killed and  other three family members got critically injured when the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell downhill near Khelleni in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Tuesday morning.
  According to eyewitnesses, an alto bearing registration number JK02AN-1160 was reportedly on its way from Jammu to Kishtwar, when the vehicle reached near Khelleni 10 km from Doda on Batote-Kishtwar National Highway, perhaps driver lost control on the  curve and the vehicle skidded off the road and fell 150 feet down hill after several somersaults on another portion of the road.
     “The family from Kishtwar travelling in an alto car was on its way from Jammu to Kishtwar, met with an accident, at 10.30am near Khellani, locals along with seluthes from police post Khellani immediately reached the spot and evacuated all the 5 passengers from the badly damaged vehicle and shifted them to District Hospital Doda,” said SP Operations Doda, Ravinder Pal Singh.
  “Doctors declared 2 passengers as brought dead while 3 critically injured are under going treatment at District Hospital,” Officer added saying that perhaps the driver was tired due to early morning journey and lack of sleep, lost control on a sharp curve resulting in the fatal accident.
  The deceased have been identified as Liyaqat Kamal (70) S/O Ghulam Ali and Tabish Bano(10) D/O Irshad Ahmed Resident of Kishtwar.
   The injured have been identified as Nuzhat Begum(45) Wife of Irshad Ahmed, her daughters Zainab Bano (7) and Baby (3), residents of Kishtwar
