Dogra performs in Kote Bhalwal jail

JAMMU, Apr 18: Conti-nuing with his mission of reaching the needy and depressed people of the society, renowned Meditation & Spiritual Music Therapy Guru Raj Kumar Dogra once again reached the Central Jail at Kot Bhalwal for live presentation of his art.
Over 400 jail inmates, including hard core militants, criminals, drug addicts and those in jail for various other social crimes, attended the special session.
Dogra said that during his research work of last 15 years and the workshops, seminars, presentations in India and abroad, has invited wide spread appreciation and proved to be a medicine to cure the ailments, relieve stress and strain, bring peace of mind and develop positiveness.
Dogra said that the Meditation Therapy can prove to be beneficial to even those people who have taken gun in hand and adopted the path of militancy. As this therapy produces positive attitude, their minds get spiritual thinking and they can once again return to the society as normal peace loving citizens.
Speaking about the significance of the Meditation & Spiritual Music Therapy, he said that the Indian music has the long history of its journey. In the old days, there were special ragas for particular occasions, events, religious ceremonies and social events. The power and the effect of the music could be well judged from the fact that a particular raga caved in the name of Agni or Megha could create fire or bring clouds and rain.
Jail Superintendent Madam Rajni Sehgal and other members of Jail staff also were present on the occasion.
Meenakshi and Payal Dogra gave the vocal support to Mr Dogra and Shalini Chouhan conducted the programme.
