SRINAGAR, Feb 18: Police recovered the body of a mentally challenged person from the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway at Mir Bazar.
A police spokesman said that the body of a mentally challenged person, Abdul Majeed Sheikh, aged 55 years, son of Mohammad Ismail resident of Vessu-Qazigund was found near Palpora- Mir Bazar, Qazigund.
The body bore injuries in the head and is apparently hit by an unknown vehicle. Police has initiated an investigation after filing a case in this regard. After completion of legal formalities the body was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
