Accused involved in kidnapping of minor denied bail

JAMMU, Feb 18: Principal Sessions Judge Kathua, M K Hanjura today rejected the bail application of Sher Ali, son of Ghulab Din of Makore, Punjab allegedly involved in kidnapping and rape of 15 years old girl.
According to the police case, on December 15, 2012 the petitioner along with his sons barged into the house of complainant namely Mohd Sharief situated at Village Sunjwan Rajbagh. They kidnapped his daughter with the intention to seduce her sexually. The petitioner along with his associates took the girl to some unknown destination where she was raped by Fareed, son of the petitioner at Amritsar for a period of 45 days.
After hearing Advocate Neelam Sharma appearing for the petitioner whereas Public Prosecutor Ravi Gupta for the State, Principal Sessions Judge observed, “a minor girl is alleged to have been kidnapped by the sons of petitioner and raped for about 45 days and it will be an irony of justice if the petitioners are released on bail at this stage”. Accordingly, the bail application of the petitioner was dismissed.
