Bharat Nirman public information campaign arrangements reviewed

SAMBA, Feb 18: A meeting to review the arrangements for the organization of 25th Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign scheduled to be organized in the 2nd week of March at Vijaypur was held today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Samba Mubarak Singh.
The DDC while speaking on the occasion outlined the importance of organizing such programmes as these play an important role to aware the masses about different Government schemes / flagship programs like MGNREGA, NRHM, JNNURM, SSA, Right to Information, Universal Mid-day Meal Programme etc. for the poor people especially living in the far flung areas and helps in disseminating information to the beneficiaries and also to make serious attempts to bring benefits at the door steps of these beneficiaries.
While highlighting the aims and objectives of Bharat Nirman, DDC said that Bharat Nirman is a business plan for rural infrastructure which was implemented by the Government of India in order to provide some basic amenities to the rural India like providing safe drinking water to all the under developed areas and to develop housing facilities for the poor.
He called upon the officers to mobilize maximum number of people to avail the benefits of various flagship programs related to overall upliftment of the masses at the grass root level.
Among others, ADDC Samba Neelam Sethi, ADC Bikram Singh Jamwal, ACD Samba Joginder Singh, CPO Sant Ram besides the officers of various Department were present in the meeting.
