AG office creates new pension revision sections

JAMMU, Apr 16: The office of the Accountant General, A&E, J&K has created new pension revision sections at Jammu and Srinagar offices to cater to the rush of nearly 2.31 lakh pensioners of the J&K State Government.
An official spokesman from AG office said that benefit of the 7th Pay Commission by the J&K Government is applicable to nearly 2.31 lakh pensioners of State Government. To cater to the huge rush of pension revision cases , new pension revision sections/ cells have been created in Srinagar and Jammu AG offices, in addition to the existing sections. Additional staff has also been deployed for the purpose.
He said the AG office is committed to authorise fresh cases as per Citizen Charter within 45 days of receipt from the concerned department. Since the cases of pre- 01-01-2016 pensioners have already been revised under Formulation-I of Govt order No. 222-F, the pending cases are expected to be cleared by July 2019.
All the pensioners/ family pensioners covered under SRO-194/GO 222F, that is the cases of pensioners who have retired or expired after Jan Ist, 2016 and who have not received revised benefit , are advised to visit AG Offices at Srinagar/ Jammu or provide information through the authorised person.
