SAD, other Sikh bodies appeal for support to Cong

JAMMU, Apr 16: Shiro-mani Akali Dal (SAD), J&K and several other Sikh bodies have appealed to the community members in Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, Ramban and Doda to support Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh.
A meeting of various Sikh organization of J&K was held under the chairmanship of Dayal Singh Wazir, chairman Shiromani Akali Dal J&K. the members from Bhai Kanhaya Nishkam Sewa Society, J&K AISSF, Sikh Welfare Society, Sikh Naujawan Sabha also attended.
Wazir alleged that BJP policies have resulted in communal tensions and committing grave atrocities on Dalits. BJP under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and its president Amit Shah has systematically demolished the institutional structure of various statutory and constitutional bodies including the Judiciary.
Wazir called upon the progressive forces to defeat the nefarious communal agenda of BJP by voting in huge numbers for a candidate and stressed upon the Sikh Community in Kathua- Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary elections and vote in favour of Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh.
Mohinder Singh, Paramjeet Singh, Darvinder Singh, Gajjan Singh, Surinder Singh Kala, Manmohan Singh, Kulwant Singh , Capt Hazara Singh Sarpanch and others were also present.
