Saints, Akharas throng Varanasi from Maha Kumbh

VARANASI, Feb 20:
A large number of Naga sadhus have started congregating at this temple city after taking a departure from Maha Kumbh mela in Allahabad.
The Juna Akhara has also taken exit from the Kumbh mela and reached here yesterday after observance of the last shahi snan on Basant Panchami on February 15.
Juna Akhara Mahamandaleshwar Awdheshanad Giri, however, reached this city today to pay obeisance to Kashi Vishwanath, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.
Worshippers are also turning up in a large number to pay obeisance to deity. Long queues are spotted outside temples.
A large number of saints and devotees proceed for their respective places from Kumbh after visiting this city.
Meanwhile, the administration has made no special arrangements to provide subsidised food to the saints, who would stay here till Mahashivratri falling on March 10.
The saints of the Akharas having their ‘math’ in this city are putting up there, while the others are managing at Ganga ghats. (UNI)
