Malhotra reviews arrangements for budget session

JAMMU, Feb 20: The Chairman, Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra today reviewed arrangements made for smooth conduct of upcoming budget session commencing from February 28, while chairing a meeting of senior civil and police functionaries.
The Chairman asked the civil and police officers to work in tandem and ensure foolproof arrangements for smooth conduct of the budget session. He also directed the General Administration Department to ensure furnishing of the replies to the questions of Legislators well in time.
Threadbare, discussion was held on the arrangements made by the Security, Traffic and Fire Services besides Information Departments Doordarshan and Radio Kashmir for the coverage of the business during the session.
The meeting also reviewed the process of issuance of entry passes, stay and provision for parking facilities for media persons and heads of the Departments. The meeting was informed that the sites for parking the vehicles have already been identified. It was also informed by the Estates Department that the renovation works on the Legislature complex have almost been completed.
Among others, Principal Secretary, Home Suresh Kumar, Director General of Police Ashok Prasad, ADGP, Armed, Law and Order K. Rajindra Kumar, ADGP, Security, Dr. Ram Lubhaya, Secretary Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Ghulam Hassan Tantrey, Director Information Zaffar Ahmed, Director Estates, R. K. Koul, IGP Jammu, Dilbagh Singh, Secretary Council, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Director General Fire and Emergency Services, Dr. G. A Bhat, Deputy Secretary, Council Secretariat Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
