Sir,
The term “Modi wave” seems to have become a catch word in these days and in all parts of the country. In this context I have conducted an extensive survey and have gathered some factual information which I would like to share with the readers of Daily Excelsior. On one basis of data collected from a number of people from all part of the country the catch word” Modi wave”may be defined as a wave showing the personal qualities and skills of Narinder Modi to act as a most affective Prime Minister of India. On the basis of past performance of BJP Government at the centre, most of the voters expect that Modi is the only leader who can lead the country most efficiently and effectively.
When asked about the qualities of Modi, most of the people counted the various programs and schemes launched by the Modi government in favour of the poor sections of the society. For example the ujwalla Yojana, the swach Bharat Yojna, Ayushmann Bharat Yojna and so on. Similarly, the rationale minded and right thinking people also know and appreciate the impact of GST and demonitisation. Besides, the international relations developed by the government also act as a factor of Modi wave. The anti-terrorism and steps taken by the government also add to Modi wave.
But at the same time, most of people are not satisfied with the performance of BJP MLAs and MPs. A number of people told that both the MLAs and MPs of their respective areas have developed long and deep distances with them and they were going to vote for BJP only for the sake of Modi as they wanted to see Modi as Prime Minister of India once again for a better future. It clearly indicates that the people like Modi but not BJP legislators. So, the concerned MLAs and MPs should understand the meaning and psychology of Modi wave and should improve their behaviour to become a part of Modi wave.
