SRINAGAR, Feb 20: The enforcement wing of Srinagar Municipal Corporation demolished an illegal two storied building raised in the Gupkar area here.
In a statement, the media relations officer of SMC, Masrat Yusuf said that the structure raised by Abdul Rahim Bhat at Gupkar was demolished by the demolition squad in an operation. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Chief Enforcement Officer Hakeem Aijaz and his staff of enforcement officers.
Meanwhile, SMC Commissioner, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Qasba has taken a serious note of the massive illegal constructions that has come up in the recent past in the Gupkar area and has directed the competent authority to seek the various rules and regulations, building byelaws, from the cantonment board and the modus operandi through which they are disposing off the permissions under building activity.
