BGSBU organizes workshop on latest trends in Computer Science Engineering

RAJOURI, Apr 23: Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SOET, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri, organized two- day workshop on latest trends in Computer Science and Engineering under the aegis of TEQIP-III Program.
The completely hands on workshop was handled by the resource persons from Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University.
Vice Chancellor of BGSBU, in a message, stressed upon the need of conducting such workshops in a regular interval of time for strengthening the technical knowhow of the budding engineers.
Prof Iqbal Parwez, Dean Academic Affairs and Coordinator TEQIP-III Program, was the chief guest on the occasion. He emphasized on the importance of quality education in students’ life and encouraged students to participate in such activities which will improve their skills in technical field.
Prof Iqbal said that the TEQIP-III Program has scaled up the ongoing efforts of BGSBU to improve quality of technical education and enhance existing capacities of the School of Engineering and Technology to become dynamic, demand-driven, quality conscious, efficient and forward looking, responsive to rapid economic and technological developments occurring both at national and international levels.
Speaking on the occasion, Dean, SOET, Prof Mohammed Asger elaborated the concept of Quantum Computing and the latest trends and ongoing researches in this domain. Asad Mohd Khan, Assistant Professors ZHCET Aligarh Muslim University, was the key note speaker of the inaugural session.
During two -day workshop, Asad Mohd Khan, Tammem Ahmed and Faisal Alam, Assistant Professors, Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology, deliberated upon the listed topics in various sessions. Various latest trends in Computer Science Engineering, including complexity analysis of Algorithms, P and NP Classes, Database Normalization, Evolutionary Algorithms in Data Mining were deliberated by invited speakers.
Khalil Ahmed, Head CSE, presented the welcome address. A large number of students and faculty members participated in the workshop.
