JAMMU, Apr 23: Old Janipur People Development Action Committee led by its Chairman Kulwant Singh Sambyal submitted a memorandum to KK Sharma, Advisor to the Governor.
Executive members of the committee were also present on the occasion.
While speaking, Sambyal said that the JDA Park at Old Janipur is in dilapidated condition and there is no provision of its maintenance and upkeep.
“The park should be handed over to Floriculture Department so as to give it a proper look. The park should be made centre of attraction and should benefit the common masses especially old aged persons and children”, he added.
He further said that there is urgent requirement of construction of bathrooms, taps along with shed for the benefit of the families, who used to gather in the adjoining temple to perform funeral as well as other rituals of their deceased family members.
Sambyal also demanded opening of J&K Bank branch in the Old Janipur area for the benefit of the general public so that they can deposit their electricity, PHE and other bills.
Personal Section Officer of Advisor to Governor gave patient hearing to the issues raised and passed directions to the concerned offices for redressal.
