JAMMU, Apr 23: Kanachack police arrested a man and recovered 501 bottles of smuggled liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Kanachack Police Station led by SHO Inspector Romal Singh under the supervision of SDPO Domana Yashvir Salathia laid a naka near Kalyanpur and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02CA-5676.
During checking, police team recovered 501 bottles of smuggled liquor from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Pankaj Sharma, son of Ashok Kumar of Purkhoo.
A case under FIR Number 52/19 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachak and investigation started.
